About James Adam Furniture Ltd
James Adam opened its doors to the public in late 1993 from a rented premisies in Woodbridge. James Adam began with the company specialising in Classical Wooden Beds and locally manufactured Suffolk Mattresses. Bespoke handmade furniture and bedsteads in Suffolk were undertaken from the start and James Adam quickly gained a national reputation as one of East Anglia’s bespoke hand made furniture and Suffolk bedstead makers.
Special size, bespoke, hand made furniture including furniture design was at the forefront of the company’s philosophy. James Adam’s Suffolk cabinet making was well underway and slowly our Suffolk and Continental workshops started to produce bespoke special size furniture, hand made bedframes and bedsteads, Four Posters and Half Testers.
With the growth of the business James Adam were able to buy their current Woodbridge, Suffolk Furniture retail premises late in 2001 and ten years later there has been enormous change with James Adam manufacturing furniture in Suffolk for every area of the home.
What We Do
We are a Woodbridge, Suffolk furniture retailer and furniture manufacturer and furniture designer.
We are also Suffolk mattress specialists. We are Vi Spring and Hypnos approved stockists dealers. Vi Spring produce the very best quality. We are confident of having one of Suffolks finest mattress displays in our large 4,000 sq ft East Anglian Furniture show room and the best beds available in the UK today. Bespoke hand made mattresses are the normality with choices of soft, medium and firmer pocket spring mattresses available to be tested in our Woodbridge furniture showroom. We pride ourselves on only giving you the best bed advice when choosing your pocket sprung mattress in East Anglia.
Our Ipswich workshops and Suffolk cabinet makers have produced wonderful bespoke hand made dining and kitchen tables all made in a large choice of timber and in many different finishes. We undertake any piece of furniture in our East Anglian Furniture workshops for every area of the home. We also manufacture beds/bedsteads and bedroom furniture in Suffolk. We also have furniture workshops in France, Spain and Pakistan.
